Battersea Park Street Circuit : ウィキペディア英語版 | Battersea Park Street Circuit
Battersea Park is home to the only current circuit located in London, England. It hosted the final two races of the 2014–15 Formula E season, with the first race on 27 June and the second race on the 28 June 2015. It is also scheduled to host the two final races of the second season. The track is 2.922 km in length and features 17 turns. The track was designed by Formula E's London event team and British architect Simon Gibbons. Wandsworth Council approved of the circuit and the double race on 19 February 2015. There is some controversy over the park circuit which takes place in a Grade II * listed park with opposition to a public park being disrupted to accommodate the races. The park was closed to the public for four days with a three week disruption period and a decision has yet to be taken on a repeat race. The local community has set up a group to oppose any further races in the park.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Save Battersea Park community group )〕 Virgin Racing driver Sam Bird described the track as follows: "The track is in the beautiful Battersea Park, right next to the river Thames, just across from Chelsea and with some of the most famous features of London’s skyline in the background. The layout itself seems to combine fast straights, a couple of high-speed bends as well as some challenging chicanes and braking zones."〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=London Circuit Guide )〕 ==References==
